Sandwich Hedges is a family-run hedge trimming business based in Sandwich, Kent. We're the data controller for any information you send us.

What we collect
- What you tell us: name, phone number, email, address and whatever you say about your hedge.
- We keep a record of enquiries, chats and our dealings with you. If you would like your own record deleted, contact us at hello@sandwichhedges.co.uk and we will do it.
- Website statistics: a count of visits to the site, made with our own tool and without cookies. See Website statistics below.
What we do with it
- Reply to your enquiry and quote your job.
- Turn up at the right address at the agreed time.
- Keep a record of work done, in case you want us back next year.
That's it. We don't sell your details. We don't share them with "partners". We don't sign you up to anything.
How long we keep things
Enquiry details and job records, six years, in case HMRC want to see them.
Website statistics
We count visits to this site, for statistics only, using our own counting tool. It sets no cookies and does not store your IP address. For each page view it records the page, the site you came from, any campaign label in the link you used, your country (approximate) and whether the visitor looks like a person or a robot. To count unique visitors it uses an identifier. We do not share this data with anyone except our hosting provider, which stores it on our behalf. We respect Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. If you click 'Don't count my visits' in the footer, we remember your choice in this browser with one small local-storage flag called na_ignore; our counter stores nothing else in your browser. You can object at any time using the link in the footer, or contact us at hello@sandwichhedges.co.uk. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in understanding and improving our site.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct anything that's wrong, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@sandwichhedges.co.uk and we'll sort it within 30 days.
If you think we've mishandled your data and we haven't put it right, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Third parties
Our contact form is handled by FormSubmit.co. They forward the message to us and then delete it. No one else sees it.
