From the seafront to the back lanes
Deal is a town of wildly different gardens. Tight little front strips on Middle Street, bigger back gardens up past the High Street, proper cottage plots on Walmer's quieter roads, and the newer homes out towards Sholden and Upper Deal, all with their own character.
Coastal gardens here have a quirk most people don't think about: the salt air and the wind do half the trimming for you. We tend to go gentler on exposed sides, harder on the sheltered ones. It's the sort of thing you only pick up after a few years of doing it.
